Good Morning, Ministry Partner!

April 29, 2020

Be Encouraged by God's Word He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; for in him all things in heaven and on earth were created, things visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or powers—all things have been created through him and for him. He himself is before all things, and in him all things hold together. He is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that he might come to have first place in everything. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him God was pleased to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, by making peace through the blood of his cross.

Wisdom from Fellow Pilgrims
Dead men cannot take effective action; their power of influence on others lasts only till the grave. Deeds and actions that energizes others belong only to the living. Well, then, look at the facts in this case. The Savior is working mightily among people, every day He is invisibly persuading numbers of people all over the world, both within and beyond the Greek-speaking world, to accept His faith and be obedient to His teaching. Can anyone, in face of this, still doubt that He has risen and lives, or rather that He is Himself the Life? Does a dead man prick the consciences of men?

 Athanasius (296-373)

Pray Together with Us
O Lord my God, most merciful, most secret, most present, most constant, yet changing all things, never new, and never old, always in action, yet always quiet, creating, upholding, and perfecting all, who has anything but what you have given? Or what can any man say when he speaks about you?

Yet have mercy on us, O Lord, that we may speak to you, and praise your Name.

Jeremy Taylor (1613-1667)
